Well we have finally entered March and you can feel the anxiety starting to build. With wet/frozen fields and no fall work done we already feel like we are behind schedule. However, we do have a dry forecast for the next 5-7 days. I can not remember the last time the morning news did not have precipitation on the map for the week ahead. That being said as the days warm up we will be getting machinery ready to roll so we can make the most of any time we might get to work the end of March.
This week I will be attending the Commodity Classic in Anaheim. I will be on a panel on Friday afternoon sponsored by Successful Farming and John Deere talking about technology on the farm and how to make it pay. If anyone else is going to the Commodity Classic let me know. I will try to give some blog updates from the meetings this week.
