This past weekend brought us our first snow storm of the weekend. We only had a few inches of snow, but with the good ol Illinois wind we still had a blizzard. Before the snow we were able to get a jump on hauling some of our corn out of the bin. With as dry as the corn was this year I have not seen any problems so far with any of the on farm stored grain. The cold winter days have now allowed us some time to get some of the seed for 2011 billed, and end of the year bookwork started before Christmas gets here. Oh yes we are also experiencing one of the joys of having kids, the flu. Luke started it last week and has gotten three of us so far. However, we did manage to get a visit in to Santa this past weekend. This week we will be continuing some of the bookwork and making sure everything is in order along with a few jobs around the house that get overlooked during harvest.
