Martin Family Farms

With the upcoming holiday season it is nice to know that we will be able to enjoy it. That is right, all of the work is done and the machinery is in the shed for the 2011 year. All of the fall field work that needed to be done has been completed and with the exception of some spring nitrogen to be applied we are ready for spring. With all of the challenges that we had this year it is a nice feeling to be able to put the 2011 year behind us. Now we will focus on getting a few things cleaned up and put away along with finishing up the bookwork. Before you know it the corn planters will be ready to roll. With all of this said we have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. From our farm to yours we wish you a Happy Thankgsiving!

Well.... it is hard to beleive, but we finished with all of the anhydrous that we wanted to get on this fall today. Mother Nature has blessed us with some very good fall weather and most of the field work and nitrogen is wrapping up in our area. We still have a little field work to do and some odds and ends, but we are very happy with the position we are in. We will still have some nitrogen to put on in the spring (bottom ground, and wet fields) but it will not take long. Now we can focus on finishing up with our seed orders and making sure the end of the year book work gets caught up. Oh yeah and we also would like to get some deer hunting in this week. Better enjoy it only 4 months until we get the planters rolling.
